I wrote the bulk of this song in my bedroom. I knew straight away in the early stages of gathering the ideas that this would be a stand-out song and one the other guys in the band would dig instantly. I tried as much as possible to write this one alone for I guess a couple of reasons. First off, I had a strong idea of how the song should arrange itself. I guess secondly, I wanted to try and write something on my own again as I hadn't fully arranged something by myself without jamming it through in rehearsal. I did manage to get 90% of it written alone but again, the small but important improvements were made when jamming and arranging as a unit.

Lyrically, its just another one of those metaphors that contradicts itself. You can't go any further than the end - its the end!! OR is it? Maybe some people's interpretation of the end is more limited or indeed further reaching than others. Some people give up more easily than others. I guess its a song about one person teaching the other to imagine that the brick wall in front of them is surmountable and you can go further if you let them take you there. I think I got all that down in the lyrics quite well.
