..."Probably the most powerful band ever to play at The Arches so far, and also one of the most professional..."

Immanis formed as a band in the summer of 2006, but the idea was born a year before. The music was the brain child of Ramage & Hammy which was part of a special project for Uni, which ramage was studying for.

"....a monstous breed of Metal! They are definately an act to watch out for...."

The 'mega metal project', as it was known, seemed too much of an effort just to forget once the education part was out the way. Mykee asked Ramage if it would be possible to take the project on the road, to start gigging the tunes, which was returned with an enthusiastic yes.

So with Mykee as the vocalist and helping to arrange lyrics, which weren't part of the mould, all that was left was to arrange a bass player. Step in Casey, who eagerly took up the challenge under Ramages' tutalidge.

"....exploded into their set with tightness and integrity in an aura of epicness...."

Immanis was born! Latin for 'monstrous'. The name was pitched to the band as it described the sound that the band had now captured. It also was in revere of a famous orchestrated peice, in F.. which the band play in, by Carl Orff, who composed 'FORTUNA IMPERATRIX MUNDI'. This carried a latin lyric; 'sors immanis' which means 'monstrous fate' and if taken apart you have a monstrous sound and fate would represent 4 people who have been friends for a while, yet have never worked together as a group.

"A combination of charismatic front man, machine-like drumming and interesting usage of samples creates a buzzing, overpowering energy"

Previous bands such as Absolute Zero, Leechhate & Ramage Inc. all came and went with no one one having the incline to put the efforts together.

So to conclude 'size does matter! how loud do you want it!?'
